I can’t believe we (Affinity Care, my therapy and coaching practice) have been hosting in-person meditation sessions since December 2018 🥹 We have surely had our ups and downs over the years. 📈❤️‍🩹 💔 Stopped offering sessions during Covid. ❤️‍🩹 Resumed sessions when restrictions were lifted; but our attendance had never been the same. 💔 Boca Raton Beach Meditation discontinued as of September 2023 due to my own personal life changing circumstances (many of you know). 💔 0️⃣ meditation classes were held. ❤️‍🩹 Relocated to Miami; re-grouped, did some of my own healing from those life changing circumstances. 💖 Began offering monthly meditation classes in Miami. 💖 Had the opportunity to teach meditation at other places (Thank you again @oceanreefclub 🥲) 💖 BACK in Boca Raton offering monthly meditation classes. 🧘🏻‍♀️ Meditation helps strengthen our mental muscles 🧠 to be able to better cope, deal, and manage challenging thoughts 💭 and uncomfortable feelings (stress, angst, anxiety, low confidence)⚡️ Sessions are open to all levels of meditators. 💭 Noticing negative thoughts? (Beating yourself up, being hard on yourself, complaining/venting, etc.) Healthy habits / routines / rituals can be an effective way to manage negative thoughts, also known as negative self talk 💥 We tend to want to feel like we have control. Sometimes it can feel like our thoughts are in control of us.⚡ 🪷 We can compensate this feeling out of control by creating order around us - rituals/routines/habits are a way to do that.
